Free Ad Score Checker

Paste an ad you are about to run and this tool scores it out of 100, with a written reason for every point it takes off. It is the only free tool we know of that scores ad copy for the Indian market specifically, rather than running a generic readability check.

The score comes from a fixed rubric a media buyer would recognise: hook strength out of 25, clarity out of 20, call to action out of 20, emotional trigger out of 20, and platform fit out of 15. Each dimension gets a one-line reason tied to your actual copy, not generic advice. Calibration is deliberately strict. Anything above 80 is rare and reserved for copy worth real budget. Between 55 and 70 is the honest average. Below 40 means the ad would waste money.

Use it before you spend, not after. The whole point of scoring copy is that a rewrite costs nothing and a bad ad costs whatever your daily budget is multiplied by the days it takes you to notice.

What actually works

Four things that change the result

Score before you boost, not after

The cheapest optimisation in performance marketing is fixing the copy before the campaign starts. Once it is live you are paying to learn what a rubric could have told you free.

A low hook score is worth fixing first

Hook strength is weighted highest at 25 for a reason. If nobody stops scrolling, nothing else in the ad gets read.

Compare, do not chase

The score is most useful as a relative measure between your own variants. Two copies at 71 and 58 is a real signal. Obsessing over turning a 78 into an 82 is not.

Check the platform matches

The same copy scores differently as Meta primary text versus a Google RSA, because length and register requirements differ. Score it against where it will actually run.

FAQ

Common questions

How is the Performance Score calculated?

Five weighted dimensions totalling 100: hook strength (25), clarity (20), call to action (20), emotional trigger (20) and platform fit (15). A language model applies the rubric with a strict calibration and returns a written reason per dimension.

Does a high score guarantee my ad will perform?

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. The score is an editorial judgement about the copy, not a prediction of your click-through rate. Targeting, offer, landing page and creative all still decide the outcome.

How many ads can I check for free?

Three per day, no signup. The free 7-day trial raises that to 50 Performance Scores, and paid plans start at 300 a month.

Do you store the ad copy I paste?

Free tool submissions are not saved to an account. We store a one-way hash of your IP address and a daily counter to enforce the limit, never the raw IP.
